I’ve sat here a number of times trying to figure out what I need to put here. My drafts this far have felt either overwhelmingly formal or too casually juvenile for an adult with a vocabulary. Sometimes I’ve strayed too far into ‘trying too hard to be artistic and whimsical.’ At one point I decided I didn’t need an about page to begin with.

(I’m still questioning whether I do, to be honest.)

I suppose while I’ve got you here, though, I can give you the basics. I’m a writer. I’m an editor. I attempt blogging on the occasion that I have enough attention span to sit at my computer and talk to people I’ve never met and probably will never meet. As my tagline says, I’m a caffeine addict — chances are if you’re reading this now, I’m sitting somewhere, either at my desk or at my job, drinking a cup of coffee or tea with a generous helping of sugar and just enough milk to seem sophisticated.

I procrastinate, terribly, though I’m working on that. Deadlines come to me as both boon and bane.

I’ll be honest and say I’m not entirely sure where I’m going to go with this blog, but I do know there’s going to be writing. Sometimes I have opinions – I put them here. I write actual stories, as well. I have a thing for horror, fantasy, and science fiction on occasion (and maybe a sprinkle of erotica.) I indulge in prose. Chaptered stories are my next big goal.
